How to Clean Pet Stains on Carpet

You Love Your Fur Baby, But Your Carpet Doesn’t

Pet Stain

There are few things less sightly or more frustrating than walking into your room and discovering your sweet little pet decided to go to the bathroom in the middle of your beige carpet. Whether you are potty training a new pup or your elderly cat decides to stop using a litter box, there are options to clean up pet stains on your carpet.

How to Clean Pet Stains

  1. Clean up the spot as soon as possible, especially when it is still wet. (When it dries, it will leave an unpleasant odor that is harder to remove.) Use a couple of towels to pat up the liquid.
  2. You might have some ingredients at home to make an effective solution! Use two cups of vinegar, two cups of warm water, and four tablespoons of baking soda. Place this mixture in a spray bottle.
  3. Spritz the soiled area with your solution and let it sit for five to 10 minutes. Blot it with a soft cloth.
  4. If the stain is particularly tough, mix the vinegar and water, and then place the baking soda directly on the spot instead of in the solution. Let this sit for five minutes and then blot it up.
